Spain Trip 2012 Day 4 - Barcelona

What I like best about hotels in Europe?
THE BREAKFAST. LOL.
Not actually la, haha cause if ranking it by the number of choices,
I bet Malaysia hotel can offer us more choices.
My favourite is actually Japan hotel breakfast!
They offer western dishes and also Japanese dishes hahahaha.. Yummyyyy..

So this is the restaurant that we are having our breakfast for the next 2 days wakakakak.

Scramble eggs, sausages, and baked beans.

Variety of hams that you can choose from.

Variety of cheese and also vegetables for salad.

Look at all the fruits!

All properly placed in small cups.
I don't know how many cups did we ate.
And I think us Asians like to eat fruits so much, it annoyed them.
I said this cause day 3, they did not place the fruits in small cups anymore.
It appeared in a big plate hahahaha..

So many pastries all you can eat.
They refill it very fast.

The bread corner where you can toast the bread yourself.

Our breakfast table ngek ngek ngek.
BACONSSSSSS <3

Our first stop today.
We dropped by this Olympic Harbor by the seaside.
This village was constructed for the 1992 Olympic games.

I wonder what is this fish looking thing.
Frank Gehry Fish Sculpture

Taking a photo in front the fish sculpture.

The stuff I love to do.
I'm flying~~~~~~

Everything looks so artistic with Instagram.

This happens too often.
I COULDN'T OPEN MY EYES.
Freaking sunlight.

Moved to end of the bus there for a better view.
Its quite empty here cause everyone is squeezing in the front seats.
Dad came along with my sis and me, I don't know why haha.

We are dancing together.

Some people selling ear rings on top of the hill.
Too bad I couldn't wear anything metal.
Sensitive skin kills.

The view behind me...
Ahhhh couldn't see it clearly cause of the heavy mist.

We had a cup of espresso and a cup of hot cocoa in this chilling weather!
Espresso is the boom!
Bitter to the max eeeekkk

We collected this from the garden/forest on the hill.
What is this called?

After that we visited a Spanish village nearby.
An open-air architecture and craft museum comprising full-scale replicas of 117 buildings from different parts of Spain.
There's so many children and teenagers having school trips here.

Just our luck, when we arrived here today,
there's a filming of a musical going on, so we couldn't visit that part of the village.

There's a lot of shops inside the French village,
selling all sorts of stuff.

Seems like this kid just finish shopping.

CUTENESS.

I don't know what's with all my photos...
blurry as hell...

The shop owner kept asking us to come in to have a test try of her products.
Well, we did return after we finish touring around.

I really had to say, she's a very good promoter.
Very good in promoting her products and giving you discounts to make you feel better haha.
And so we did end up buying stuff there haha.

I had a sip of the red wine she sell.
Surprisingly, it was quite different with the ones I usually had. In a good way that is.
Nice!
(I don't know what other words to use to describe so bear with me XD)

All the spices, olive oil and vinegar.

We just couldn't stop taking photos haha.

This man is seriously pro.
Cincai cincai kepit here kepit there on the glass then the glass became a cat shape.
Wooo wooo wooo!

Very colourfulllll... cost 5 euro each for the small one.
I wanted to buy the snake a lot but I couldn't bring it back to Malaysia.
It would break so easily.

LOL Sorry but I couldn't help myself but to squat down beside them to take photo.
They were standing there for the teacher to do some headcount.

When I take the photo of this ambulance,
the lady inside saw me taking photo....
then she smiled to me! =))))

Time for lunch again.
In this trip, all we say is, how come its lunch time already? how come its dinner time already?
We felt like we just ate and we are going to eat again.
Haha I gotta say the organiser of this trip feed us too well.

There's a lot of chocolates and desserts at the entrance of this restaurant we are having lunch!
Super tempting!

Easter bunnies!!

Who will eat that Hello Kitty? Seriously?
Although I'm not a Kitty fan, but its really nice haha.

Easter bunnies againnnnnn

Patrick the chocolate.

Sponge Bob the chocolate.

Us again on the second floor of the restaurant.

9 of us from dad's company.

As I said, every meal there's gonna be either red wine, white wine, champagne or beer.
Alcoholics. =P

This is our appetizer.
I'm not really sure what's that on the toast bread... taste like diced tomato though...

I call this the seafood salad.
Mixture of chilli pepper, crab meat and octopus.

And there we are, the famous black pig ham AGAIN =P

I'm not so sure whats this cause I did not touch this at all hahaha.
The green and red should be cooked chilli pepper.

Cheese cheese cheese.
I don't really eat cheese just like this. Usually with bread or rice?

Fried squid aka sotong!!!!

Hmmm I think this is a famous dish in Spain too.
But I don't know the name..... What is it called again?
Taste good. I ate quite a few haha.

This noodle taste like herbal mihun hahaha. Dad did not bother to try after what I commented.
He say what is the point eating herbal noodle here haha.

I'm thinking this taste good, but I forgot whats inside haha.

I thought this was suppose to be sweet or something cause I assumed its dessert time already.
Turns out its fried egg with potato cubes inside.
Nice try but I'm bloody full when I see this.

After lunch, we are on the bus and we passed by this weird building designed by Antoni Gaudi.
I'm thinking this guy must be mad famous since a lot of the weird and famous buildings here are designed by him.
This one is called Casa Batlló
All the balcony look like skeleton head to me.

Finally we reached our destination.
Sagrada Família Cathedral

This is a very famous church in Barcelona and I find it very interesting just because its been build for 130 years now (since 1882) and its still not done yet.
I've seen this church the previous night as the restaurant I had dinner is just nearby this church.
A lot of barcelona's old citizens are asking the government to complete the church faster as they are hoping to see the completion of the church before they die.
Wow?
Oh well, the church is estimated to be complete in 2028.
Lets hope that everyone live long enough to see it complete.

Funny thing about this church is that you can have a very different style from each side you look at the church. Different architectures took over during this 130 years period.
You don't expect everyone to have the same taste right? HAHA.

The front view, I feel that the church is as if its melting.

We took group photos in front of the church under super sunny condition.
I COULD NOT OPEN MY EYES. OH MAN.

All the ladies in the trip.

Although the church is open to tourist everyday,
the construction is still going on.
Rushing for completion on 2028!

All the tourist need to wear this headphones and the people in the same tour will switch it to the same channel so that they all could hear they own tour guide make some explanation.

Stole this photo from somewhere haha.
My camera photo is seriously bad quality.
Furthermore, no good photography skills =______=

There's a museum in the other side of the church too.
Mainly about the history of this church and Antoni Gaudi.

Antoni Gaudi is a weird guy.
He build this thing which using the theory of gravity or something.
You actually can see the shape of the building if you see this thing upside down.
Its made of strings and mini sandbags.

The guys relaxing outside the church.

Next stop is Casa Mila.
Another design by Antoni Gaudi.

I super love this door! haha

The interior looks like this when you are inside the lobby looking up.

File:Casa mila atrium.jpg

The roof top is quite weird,
not to mention dangerous.
Some of the fencing is quite low so if you are not careful, you might fall from the building.
X__________x
Other than that, its a nice place to take photo haha.

Looking to the opposite street from the roof top of Casa Mila.

One of my favourite shoots. haha.

A small version of the Casa Mila building.

I wonder if he lives here cause its fully decorated with all the furnitures.

Antique telephone.
Wei? Wei? Wei? May I help you?

The exterior of Casa Mila.

After that we went to La Rambla to shopping! Weeee

To be continue!
